Recruitment Overview

Assam Rifles has released a compassionate recruitment notification (under अनुकंपा आधार) for dependent family members of personnel who:

• Sacrificed their lives in the line of duty

• Passed away or were medically discharged

• Are missing in action

These openings are for 10th pass candidates to join as Rifleman, Draftsman, Radio Mechanic, Plumber, Vehicle Mechanic, X-ray Assistant, and other trades. Applications begin 20 June 2025, ending 21 July 2025.

The selection rally will likely be held at the Assam Rifles Training Centre, Sukhovi (Nagaland – near Dimapur station) between September–December 2025. Selected applicants will be informed via postal mail and email with reporting dates.

Age Limit

• Minimum: 18 years

• Maximum: 23 years (general)

• For Radio Mechanic & Draftsman: up to 25 years

• Age calculated as of 1 August 2025, reserved category relaxations as per rules.

Eligibility Criteria

Mandatory: Only one dependent family member per eligible service personnel. Posts require the following qualifications:

- Rifleman GD & Safai: 10th pass from recognized board
- Radio Mechanic: 10th + Diploma in Electronics/Telecom/Comp/Electrical/Mechanical or 12th (PCB ≥50%)

• Draftsman: 12th + 3-year Diploma in Architectural Assistanship

• X‑ray Assistant: 12th + Dip. in Radiology
  - Vehicle Mechanic (Electrician/Fitter): 10th + ITI certificate in Motor Mechanic
  - Plumber: 10th + ITI in Plumbing
